s390 upgrades needs manual installation of sysconfig-hardware, which
tries to convert /etc/chandev.conf.

Debian udev currently have no support for fixed network device names and
a s390 installation with more than one network interface have to use
/etc/sysconfig/scripts/hardware/ifupdown-mapping in
/etc/network/interfaces or use other machanisms to ensure the names are
stable.

I think that with the section I added earlier this week the upgrade
process has been sufficiently documented.

the only part of the BR I do not understand is:
> s390 upgrades needs manual installation of sysconfig-hardware, which
> tries to convert /etc/chandev.conf.

I don't know what chandef.conf is or how s-h converts it...
Anything we need to add for that Bastian?
