Bug#416720: [ia64] upgrade to latest firmware on hp systems

Package: release-notes

Even if you read the release notes and dealt with the serial device
reording[1] issue on ia64, you still may run into problems with
booting your HP ia64 ('Integrity') box if you aren't running the
latest firmware. Unfortunately, this has the same symptom as the
serial device reording problem - that is, the last thing you see is
"Loading initrd...."

Ganneff and I beat our heads for a while messing with the serial
console settings on a box before realizing the firmware was out of
date.

I suggest adding a note to the kernel section on ia64 that says:

"HP Itanium systems running older firmware are incompatible with the
2.6 kernel in etch. You should upgrade your system to the latest
 firmware before upgrading your kernel."

And also adding a link to this section from the "Serial Device
Reordering" section, since the symptoms of the two problems are
similar.
