Oh, darn. CVS pserver users are linked to a proxy real user on the system,
and for some unobvious reason the $HOME of that user needs to exist.

Developers' home directories are created automatically if they don't exist
upon login, but cvs.debian.org has changed physical location and apparently
Adam hasn't logged into it yet. All of the pserver users in
/cvs/debian-doc/CVSROOT/passwd are linked to his username, and thus none of
them can log in now..

I could change the passwd file to use an account with an existing home
directory (mine), but it can be just as easily fixed if he sshs into the
machine to trigger creation of his home directory :)

Adam, please ssh gluck.debian.org sleep 1 ASAP :)
