This is an extreme view, IMHO, only French men will start:) I respect
their independent view and like that attitudes but it is interesting
only as a philosophical argument.
I think it is very unpractical. If we start translating package names,
how are we going to identify which one corresponds to which. "en" <->
"fr" is easy but think translating between "jp" <-> "en".
Directory structure is one thing and another thing is attribute
information for the package which future "dselect" etc. can use to narrow
down selections. Making separate *.all.deb package files are nice as
long as it does not clutter package selection process.
Debian needs to have some infrastructure which is more than recommends,
... to simplify package selection.
