It's not an overly active list, compared to many of the Debian mailing
lists. However, it is still active.
If you're ever curious if a Debian list is active and whether you're signed
up correctly or not, you might want to check the Debian Mailing List
Archives - you can find them here: http://lists.debian.org/
As you can see from the June archive
(http://lists.debian.org/debian-doc-0106/threads.html) the list has been
pretty quiet this month, with (unfortunately) more spam noise than
proper discussion. Good argument for allowing only subscribers to post...
