I think it's really unhelpful to throw around accusations like
that. Even if you think the consequence of what they're doing is in
conflict with the social contract, it's highly unlikely that the dgit
folk see it the same way.
You could have said "I think making the entire git repository the
'source' even where it includes non-free artifacts conflicts with our
social contract." which would have pointed out the conflict you think is
present without accusing other DDs of deliberately disregarding the
social contract.
