I assume you're referring to
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-schoen-intarea-unicast-127/ ?
It proposes 127/16 for the loopback network. So 127.0.1.1 is perfectly
fine, even in a distant future after this draft has become an Internet
Standard.
(Let's not go into a discussion about the draft here. Take that to the
IETF if you're interesed. Just wanted to clear up that 127/24 confusion)
