Description : Tracks specified git repos for sysadmins
Gitkeeper is a tool to help sysadmins track the status of specified git
repositories on a server. It checks if the repositories are clean (no
uncommitted changes) and if they are up-to-date with their remote
counterparts.
.
Gitkeeper also provides a systemd service and timer, to help display
status information in the message of the day (MOTD). This is useful
for reminding sysadmins to clean and update their repositories.
Gitkeeper is initially a project used in LUG@USTC (lug.ustc.edu.cn), to
maintain configuration repos on our servers easily. It's not a dependency
of other packages. I'm the author of this project. For system config
management, etckeeper provides version control support for /etc/.
However, etckeeper does not support multiple repos.
I'm currently maintaining this and now it passes lintian and Salsa CI
pipeline. I need a sponsor.
