Bug#1108919: ITP: java-websocket -- A barebone WebSocket client and server implementation in Java

Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Rene Engelhard <rene@debian.org>
X-Debbugs-Cc: debian-devel@lists.debian.org, Debian Java Maintainers <pkg-java-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org>

* Package name    : java-websocket
  Version         : 1.6.0
  Upstream Contact: Nathan Rajlich <nathan@tootallnate.net>
* URL             : https://www.example.org/
* License         : MIT
  Programming Lang: Java
  Description : A barebone WebSocket client and server implementation in Java

Binary package: libjava-websocket-java

This is a

" A barebones WebSocket client and server implementation written 100% in
 Java"

(probably meant: "barebone")

LibreOffice is using this for ages but I never actually packaged it
externally. No idea why, maybe I was afraid of dependency/build system
hell.

But now I've revisited it and using gradle it was quite straightforward (at least it seemed so)
so let's (try to) package it for forky and later and make LO (liblibreoffice-java) use it;
it currently is a internal code copy ending up in ure-java...

I'll put this under the umbrella of the Java team.

Regards,

Rene
