My current thinking is to solve this (and DKIM) by rewriting the
senders of messages to something like:
Don Armstrong <user-530149da-b58b-4a3f-aaaf-ade435f4c26f@bugs.debian.org>
where messages to that address could potentially be forwarded to the
end user, possibly with people being able to opt-in or opt out of
e-mail forwarding at any time.
This would also handle some privacy requests by allowing people to
request that we remove their address, and we'd only retain their
UUIDv5.
