SEVERE PROBLEM : dpkg --force-unsafe-io being ignored, +SSD
Greetings,
"dpkg -R -i --refuse-downgrade --force-unsafe-io . "
"--force-unsafe-io" seems to be ignored - it still makes my HDD churn
the same way on each unpack.
I've tried the reverse --refuse-unsafe-io, exact same thing.
I have a list of 628 debian packages, totalling ~0.5 GB.
With an average of 100 files each, this would mean ** 64.800 ** syncs
minimum.
I recommend telling users of SSDs to disable this feature right away.
This is very damaging for SSDs and slow for HDDs.
Best Regards.
