The component provides the following tools:

- regclient: CLI to interact with OCI registries
- regctl: push and pull arbitrary artifacts from/to OCI registries
- regsync: mirror images between registries, based on yaml config

This tooling is crucial to work with attestations (e.g. provenance,
sbom) stored in OCI registries.

The only missing dependency to olareg is being packaged as part of
#1084507.
