Do I do something wrong? It is not working in my case (running on Debian 12):

groff LC_ALL=C.UTF-8 MANROFFSEQ='' MANWIDTH=80 man --warnings -E UTF-8 -l -Tutf8 -Z ./backintime.1 >/dev/null
groff: unrecognized option '--warnings'
