Indeed build IDs can be a very annoying source of unreproducible builds (though
I mostly encounter those working with Android toolchains, not Debian packages).

But build IDs can be disabled via appropriate linker flags (e.g.
-Wl,--build-id=none).  Is there some reason simply doing that for both rebuilds
is not an option?
