Hello,

It was user error, plain and simple. The bug was closed and marked as fixed
in Version 2.2.12-0.1 at
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1051563#20
and Antonio told the BTS "No, that is true" ("reopen 1051563") and the
BTS implemented this command. The reopen should not have happened and
should have been reverted.

The documentation given in the original announcement when version
tracking was introduced [1] still applies. The nice nice graphs on the
webpages for each bug that show which versions a bug (still) applies to
are not men tioned there yet.
