When a magpie is not a magpie
Hi there,
the desktop environment budgie-desktop upstream project has created
a window manager and github repo called magpie.
I have packaged this as magpie and have uploaded it to mentors.
On examining the upload, mentors' automatic checks tells me that there
is already a package in debian with a last upload date of 2003
https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/magpie
It is no longer in any supported version of Debian.
So can I still continue through mentors with this new package magpie
and co-opt the name of the original project upload or should I rename
the package name with something like "budgie-magpie"? (file a new ITP
with the alternative name?)
Many thanks in advance
David
