eBUS is a 2-wire serial bus used by some (mostly German-manufactured)
heating, ventilation and solar systems for communication.
The daemon can send, receive, cache and poll for messages, and scan the bus for devices.
It can log via syslogd, and save messages in human-readbale form.
There is a command-line interface, and a simple HTML interface to allow data retrieval as JSON
Messages can be published to (and from, if authorised) MQTT topics.
There is an ACL file for optional user authentication.

sysvinit and systemd are supported.

A suitable hardware interface is needed to use this software. Details
of an open interface which supports USB serial, rPi IO, and ethernet
and wifi with suitable modules are on the wiki:
