The original post did mention video cards, but I'm left unsure whether the non-free stuff in the NVidia case, for example, would fall into "firmware" (hence included) or "drivers". If the latter, my sense is that Option 5 was intended to be narrowly focused and exclude such drivers. I'd rather support a wider focus that would include drivers -- basically any "non-free hardware support package". So if Option 5 is narrow and Option 4 is wide-open "non- free" maybe there's room for an option in between? -Steve
