ITP: trbot -- Powerful software for playing games through text, supporting remote collaborative play

Package: trbot
Version: 2.5.1
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?

   I'm the developer of TRBot and wish to get it included in Debian's
repositories. TRBot is licensed under the AGPLv3 and is developed in C# and the
.NET 5 SDK, both of which are free software under the MIT-license.

The code repository can be found here: https://codeberg.org/kimimaru/TRBot

   Building TRBot depends on the following packages:
    * libc6
    * libgcc1
    * libstdc++6
    * dotnet-sdk-5.0
    * dotnet-runtime-5.0
    * netstandard-targeting-pack-2.1
    * aspnetcore-runtime-5.0
    * dotnet-targeting-pack-5.0
    * aspnetcore-targeting-pack-5.0
    * dotent-apphost-pack-5.0

   TRBot can be built to be self-contained for GNU/Linux, which is the
recommended approach since that does not require installing the .NET runtime on
the user's machine.

The essence of TRBot is playing games through text. It utilizes a virtual controller created via libevdev and uinput and parses text into button and axes presses. For example, "left" can move the character left. More details on the repository link. TRBot does not require an internet connection unless used to
accept input over a network - for example, an IRC channel.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

Filing a bug to notify Debian maintainers that I wish to include TRBot in
the Debian repositories.

   * What was the outcome of this action?

   TRBot is not in the Debian repositories.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

   Getting TRBot in the Debian repositories.
