Description : Kurento Media Server
Kurento is an open source software project providing a platform suitable
for creating modular applications with advanced real-time communication
capabilities. For knowing more about Kurento, please visit the Kurento
project website: https://www.kurento.org.
.
Kurento Media Server is a WebRTC-compatible server that processes audio
and video streams, doing composable pipeline-based processing of media.
.
Kurento Media Server is one of the core components in BigBlueButton, a
video conferencing and remote teaching web software.
.
The packaging of Kurento Media Server for Debian is fully funded by GUUG
e.V. (= German Unix User Group e.V.). The funding covers initial package
uploads and QA, but will also very likely cover the package maintenance
for the first year in Debian, with the prospect of stretching the funded
maintenance period later on.
.
So, a big thanks to people from GUUG e.V. for making this possible.
.
As the overall context of packaging Kurento Media Server for Debian is -
at some final stage - provding the complete software stack of a
BigBlueButton server as native Debian packages, the packaging of all KMS
components will take place in the team context of the just founded BBB
Packaging Team (https://salsa.debian.org/bbb-team/).
