I expanded a bit on the "without my mistakes being visible" part.  I
have heard similar questions from others.

Much Debian tooling is very easy to make public mistakes with.  We
have tried quite hard with dgit to make that not the case.  Instead,
dgit is easy to provoke into producing error messages :-).
