This package is suitable for adding to Debian because as stated in the

page Windows has start, Macs have open so opener for Debian and also as
given in the description it can help the user to open webpages files
executable open editors and can also be used while writing
programs.along with it installation of the package is also simple.
No there are no packages on which opener depends.

To
the best of my knowledge there no similar package in Debian that gives
the privileges to the users that opener provides till now. Although
there are commands that can be used to open webpages,editors etc but
opener can be used for opening webpages,editors etc withou the use of
separate commands.

I hope to join the _javascript_ team and
plan to maintain it constantly when new versions of it releases and when
there are any bug issues. I want to join the _javascript_ maintainers
team. Yes I need a sponsor for this package and and Praveen has agreed
to sponsor the package.
