Bcolz [1] features data containers for NumPy, which are compressed
either on disk or also in-memory, and are accessible chunkwise [2]. For
compression it uses Blosc [3]. It has also import/export facilities for
HDF5 or PyTables data, and Pandas data frames.

I'm going to package this for the Debian Science Group. The binary is
going to be python3-bcolz (maybe also with Python 2 package).
