I would like to point out that this whole thread is mostly pointless since
neiter Carl nor the ITP bug is in copy and that Carl (like most people
filing ITP) is probably not reading debian-devel.
Carl, you might want to have a look at the debian-devel archives. Multiple
persons commented on your ITP.
