Bug#777643: general: possibly, some keyboard layouts should use U+22C5 DOT OPERATOR instead of U+00B7 MIDDLE DOT

just for the record, I find Christophs suggestion valid, reasonable,
well explained and done in best featth, and it does by no means deserve
the treatment that he received.

The only “mistake”, if any, would have been to report the bug against
"general" instead of finding out the proper package.

And the proper response should have been “You might be right, but this
issue does not seem to be sever enough to warrant Debian to deviate from
Upstream. We suggest that you take the issue to upstream.”

I’m sorry for how this went and hope that your next contribution to
Debian will be more enjoyable to you.

(who already wondered why · does not align with + and − (not - or –, of
course). But ⋅ doesn’t either, here... I guess you can file a bug
against some font packages :-))
