New upstream source is LGPL so now it is legally to link it with non-GPL code. Another change is that this module does not depend on libglib and connects to Docker API server directly by socket and not via /usr/bin/docker command. Also autotools are used rather than simple Makefile. The unit testing requires root privileges and modified /etc/nsswitch.conf so probably won't be used in Debian package.
