Bug#756430: ITP: bcmwl -- Broadcom 802.11 Linux STA wireless driver source

Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Eduard Bloch <blade@debian.org>

* Package name    : bcmwl
  Version         : 6.30.223.141+bdcom-0ubuntu3
  Upstream Author : Broadcom Corporation, http://www.broadcom.com
* URL             : http://www.broadcom.com/support/802.11/linux_sta.php
* License : open source with precompiled objects (non-free)
  Programming Lang: (C, C++, C#, Perl, Python, etc.)
  Description : Broadcom 802.11 Linux STA wireless driver source

These packages contain Broadcom's IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n hybrid Linux®
device driver for use with Broadcom's BCM4311-, BCM4312-, BCM4313-,
BCM4321-, BCM4322-, BCM43224-, and BCM43225-, BCM43227- and
BCM43228-based hardware.

Actually I plan to extend the existing Ubuntu package (bcmwl) a bit,
i.e. to include upstream changelog, add module-assistant as alternative
to dkms and fix a little bug preventing it's compilation with kernel
3.16-rc6.

Regards,
Eduard.
