Because git is not GNU Interactive Tools, a file browser/viewer and
process viewer/kille
And docker is not a System tray for KDE3/GNOME2 docklet applications.
Not to most of our users anyway.

It simply happens that, even when not generic names are used,
something else can come along and win the popularity contest resulting
in user confusing expecting the popular thing to be installed instead
of the niche ones. (Un)fortunately, unlike the appstores on modern
mobile phone we don't allow duplicate package names as we use it as
the unique identifier at the same time, hence we can't use the
upstream name for src & binary names at all times.
