Bug#743020: ITP: adventure -- Colossal Cave adventure game

Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Ben Finney <ben+debian@benfinney.id.au>

* Package name    : adventure
  Version         : 1.3
  Upstream Author : Brandon Rhodes <brandon@rhodesmill.org>
* URL             : http://www.example.org/
* License         : BSD
  Programming Lang: Python
  Description : Colossal Cave Adventure game

    This is a single-player text adventure game, exploring a large network
    of underground caves in prose text by typing commands.
    .
    Colossal Cave Adventure is the seminal text adventure game from the
    1970s by Will Crowther and Don Woods.
    .
    This is a re-implementation of the program, using the original data
    file. It uses the original text exactly, and emits responses slow
    enough to read as the original terminals did.

The code will produce the following packages:

* colossal-cave-adventure: Colossal Cave Adventure game
* adventure: (alias for ‘colossal-cave-adventure’, via “Provides”)
* python-adventure: Colossal Cave Adventure at the Python prompt

The code presents a stand-alone program which behaves as above. The Python
module also allows the user to play the game at the interactive Python
prompt.

I will maintain the Debian packaging in Bazaar at Alioth in
‘collab-maint/pkg-adventure’, and seek a package sponsor via the Debian
Games team.
