The rewrite in C will wait for a volunteer (it is not easy/convenient
to handle strings and it becomes a lot more difficult to improve/
maintain)
For a rewrite in another script language (perl ? python ?), as the
primary author (Brice Videau) likes ruby a lot, I think it will also
have to wait for a volunteer. Note that it is not really difficult.
But it takes time, the current program "works" and it is not "fun"
for upstream author.
So, I'm looking for a package that would accept this ruby script
(I will probably ask linux-util anyway if nobody has other suggestions)
and I will keep it in my perso repository until then.
Regards,
Vincent
