Thomas, that line in my email was not meant to be read as an endorsement
of that approach, and I believe that Adam's reply to the thread gave the
impression he thought Andreas was proposing something similar

If anything, the underlying aim of my reply was to highlight the fact
that there is good stuff for us and our users politely waiting in some
of these unblock requests and it would be nice to find a way to benefit
from it constructively, anything other than messing with severities.
