Yes.  Things are very heated, but a lot of things have been researched
and documented along the way.  I've been learning a lot about init
systems I wasn't familiar with and some differences in opinion
(maintainers vs. administrators vs. casual users) I never even imagined.

This does not translate neatly into five possible courses of action
though.  Opting for 'multiple' init systems would still leave various
combinations to decide upon.  There is uncertainty about ideas brought
up for future work that may not exist yet, such as a 'neutral
meta-language definition' or perhaps extending an init system with
features or syntax from another.

I could use help with the sysvinit page.  I was hoping someone might
step up as camp leader for it, someone who is fully behind it.  All I've
done is mention points raised in debian-devel and elsewhere.
