The trouble is that piuparts doesn't manage its own chroot tarball last I checked; it uses the pbuilder tarball instead. However, that makes for an easy solution: rather than debuild, have pdebuild do so. Since it already needs to invoke pbuilder for various other things, this should be relatively easy to do. -- This end should point toward the ground if you want to go to space.
