 Most of desktop users doesn't get used to edit system files, and
 enabling it solves some problems can help it, IMO.

stable stops being stable?

Only happens if you install with -t wheezy-backports, doesn't it?

I suppose not, given you have to explicitly ask for the backports version
with the default priorities as far as I know.

At least for squeeze-backports that's the case.
