Packages in stable are not generally updated for changes in the VCS
links. Always use the package in unstable as the reference - if that
doesn't give a link, only the maintainer knows why that was removed.

Try asking the maintainer (follow the link to the PTS from the page you
mentioned). There might also be information in the changelog for the
latest version (in this case unstable) - again, linked from the PTS. In
this case, 2.3.4-1 removed the vcs fields without further explanation,
so ask the maintainer.
