EstEID browser plugin is a cross-browser plugin that accesses
Estonian national ID card features via JavaScript.

This package provides the plugin for NPAPI-compatible browsers
such as Chromium, Epiphany and Firefox.

The plugin is used by web pages to sign legally-binding documents
using the digital certificate that is accessed via PIN2.
.
In order to protect the user's privacy, only web pages that 
appear in a "whitelist" can access the card. For unlisted pages,
a yellow notification bar appears.

The plugin also implements a compatibility mode to support 
existing web pages that utilize the legacy signature API.
