This email address is an Alioth team (Alioth is a site that provides
infrastructure for teams that work on Debian), you can look at the
information of the team at https://alioth.debian.org/projects/pkg-e/ .

The first option should have been contacting the maintainer (in this
case the team address you have mentioned), or filing wishlist bugs for
the packages where a new upstream version is available (you need to
first check if a bug has already been filed).

I have CC'd the team just in case none of the members are subscribed to
this list.
