There was a thread about this back in 2008:

My personal conclusion back then was that the font had been illegally
relicensed to the GPL. There were also indications of glyphs taken
from proprietary fonts, GPL <> Bitstream license incompatibility and
also non-free license clauses.
In short, unless they have re-implemented the font in the meantime I
doubt this will ever enter Debian.
