Why? GNU/Hurd has made vast improvements during last year. Even the
Debian installer is functional. Now, with support for VMs like qemu, xen
and virtualbox, more people are showing interest in GNU/Hurd.

I note that for January 2011, hurd.git had 4 commits, adding 17 lines and removing 7. This seems representative of recent months, and activity levels on gnumach.git are similar.

How exactly do you make "vast improvements" at this rate? It must be very high-level code...
