Maybe a naive comment, but I would say that there should be a list of
all the benefits for any change, being it / -> /usr or /usr -> /, then
deciding which is the Right Thing™ would be "easier" (doing so we can
also document our choices).

So THANK YOU Marco for explaining (another) one for / -> /usr, I was
thinking of asking Roger about it [1] before reading your reply ;-)
