This package links protein alignment tools like ClustalW 
with packages that are interested in the evolutionary history
of the proteins like PAML. 

It is just a Perl script, nothing much to package. The ongoing
effort is already uploaded to the Debian Med repo at
Vcs-Browser: http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/debian-med/trunk/packages/pal2nal/trunk/?rev=0&sc=0
and hosts a better description.
