Description : a LaTeX to XML translator

Tralics is a fast LaTeX parser which writes an XML tree based
on the XML. Math is written as MathML or retained in the original
LaTeX form. Non-ASCII characters can be output as entity references
or as unicode characters. Various popular LaTeX packages are supported
and the commands they introduce are properly translated. Extensive
documentation (hundreds of pages about the implementation) exists.

Upstream development seems to have stopped, there haven't been many
updates in the last two years, but the software actually works.

Tralics has been debianized by Ross J. Reedstrom <reedstrm@cnx.org>
in 2008 for versions 2.11-2.12. Current upstream version is 2.13.
