sorry, I'm closing this bug report too. Maybe your wishlist bug is sensible 
for GNOME, but definitly not for KDE, so please file bugs against kde or 
gnome, but not against general. 

On a general note, I don't think .deb files should be opened with in installer 
by default, as with the current standard of unsigned .deb files this leaves 
an too easy attack vector for installing broken debs.
