Apologies if this is not the source of this bug but it's
the only place I see it. This doesn't make a lot of sense.
I first encountered this problem on a buggy wireless at a cafe.
Now I'm having it at home.

I can't explain this:

^Chedges@maggie:~/Desktop$ ping scriptdolphin.com
PING scriptdolphin.com (64.22.103.163) 56(84) bytes of data.

^Chedges@maggie:~/Desktop$ scp tuffytest.odt 64.22.103.163:/tmp
tuffytest.odt 100% 11KB 10.6KB/s 00:00
hedges@maggie:~/Desktop$ nslookup scriptdolphin.com
Server: 68.87.76.182
Address: 68.87.76.182#53

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: scriptdolphin.com
Address: 64.22.103.163

I can call up the hostname in iceweasel just fine.

Now I can get it again in the command line, too, and everything seems
fine again. Great.

Mark

Er, check your spelling? That's not the same hostname.

It looks as though everything you pasted is working fine, under the reasonable
assumption that scriptdolphin.com is meant to exist, but scriptdolpin.com
is not. As such, I'm closing this bug; feel free to reopen it if you can
reproduce similar problems when using the same hostname consistently.

Regards,
    Simon
