This is most probably due to a bad interaction between tcl8.4 and
linuxthreads (use of linuxthreads pipes by tcl), or a bug in
linuxthreads. If we manage to switch hppa to NPTL for lenny+1, either by
doing an ABI transition or by managing to have compatible ABIs, this bug
would most probably disappear.
