Bug#482555: ITP: patman -- DNA pattern matcher for short sequences

Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Charles Plessy <plessy@debian.org>

  Package name    : patman
  Version         : 1.2
  Upstream Author : Kay Pruefer <pruefer@eva.mpg.de>, Udo Stenzel <udo_stenzel@eva.mpg.de>
  URL             : http://bioinf.eva.mpg.de/patman/
  License         : GPL-2+
  Programming Lang: C++
  Description : rapid alignment of short sequences to large databases

 Patman searches for short patterns in large DNA databases, allowing
 for approximate matches. It is optimized for searching for many small
 pattern at the same time, for example microarray probes.
 Patman was published in: Bioinformatics. 2008 May 8, Prüfer K,
 Stenzel U, Dannemann M, Green RE, Lachmann M, Kelso J.

This is a small pacakage (one binary and one manpage) that is almost
ready. I will commit in Debian-Med's repository by Monday.
