While you have a point, here is annother point: Putting an indicator of the 
GR in question may help people make sense of that mesage while sorting 
through the archives someday down the road. Not to say that there is a need 
to go out of ones way for that, but when it is easy to add information that 
may help people doing that (regardless of the type, content, or context of 
the message) it is a nice thing to do.

Just a reminder that people do sometimes read long-ago postings, not 
intended to be criticism of any kind.
