That doesn't appear to be the case in my experience. [Just to give you
an idea:
merkel 02:51:40 /org/scratch/don$ du -sh estraier/
11G estraier/

The biggest it got when I was adding the entire database was around a
1.5G. Just for reference, the current size of the BTS is around 30G.]
(Some of that bloat is the fact that I'm evil and build estmaster
statically too...)
