That is strange. On my sarge boxes I get:
|$ ldd -r /usr/bin/ssh
| libresolv.so.2 => /lib/libresolv.so.2 (0x7002c000)
| libcrypto.so.0.9.7 => /usr/lib/v9/libcrypto.so.0.9.7 (0x70050000)
| [...]
And I cannot remember having anything changed.
(Also the libcrypto 0.9.6 in your ldd output looks more like woody
than like sarge)
