Hmm.  AFAICS The strongly voiced opinions have only opposed to the *force* 
team maintainership thing.  That team maintainership *when the maintainers 
want it* is a good idea and should probably be encouraged has not been 
debated.  There was some argument whether team maint of trivial, small 
packages makes sense and there was Frank's statement about large-scale 
teams which I completely agree with.
